Amazing Relaxer Cross: Colour-Compatible Treatment for Smoother, More Manageable Hair
Amazing Relaxer Cross is a professional treatment from CHUOYUKI Co., Ltd. that is mixed directly into hair colour, helping control frizz, waviness and dryness during the colour service. It retains the original "colour + 0-minute" concept by incorporating treatment care into the colour service itself, while updating moisture retention and the lasting feel of the finish.
This article introduces what Amazing Relaxer Cross is, the cross-bonding and texture care behind the formula, how to mix it with hair colour and the clients it is suited to.

What Is Amazing Relaxer Cross?
Amazing Relaxer Cross is a renewed version of Amazing Relaxer, a treatment designed to be used together with hair colour. Because it is mixed into the colour formula, texture care can be built into the colour service itself, without adding a separate treatment menu.
In the product name, "relaxer" refers to ingredients that help calm waviness and volume. CROSS builds on the original's ease of use with a cross-bonding formula, a moisture-support ingredient and heat-reactive care.
- Content: 500g
- Use: Mixed into hair colour
- Standard amount: Same amount as the first hair colour agent
- Retouch areas: Around 10% of the total colour mixture
- Finish: Blow-dry completely; hair iron at 160–180°C where suitable for the design
Please note:
Despite its name, Amazing Relaxer Cross is not a straightening agent, straight perm or acid heat treatment. It does not use reducing agents and is not designed to straighten the hair.

Cross-Bonding and Texture Care
The formula brings together several areas of care, each with its own role in the finish: strength and elasticity, moisture, waviness and volume, and a smooth, glossy surface.
Cross-Bonding Formula (TOSTEA®)
In addition to keratin care, the formula contains TOSTEA®, an ingredient that supports a cross-linking structure inside the hair. It helps improve the feel of damaged, porous hair by supporting strength, elasticity and manageability.

Moisture Support (Hydroxyethyl Urea)
Hydroxyethyl urea is a moisture-support ingredient that helps the hair retain moisture. It supports a softer finish, especially during blow-drying or ironing, where over-drying can easily occur.
Wave-Cancelling Care (Wave Canceller®)
Instead of forcing the hair straight, Amazing Relaxer Cross is designed to help calm unwanted waviness, puffiness and volume. Wave Canceller® is a cationically modified, rice-protein-derived conditioning ingredient (Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Rice Protein). It adheres to damaged areas of the hair and helps support moisture retention and manageability.
As no reducing agents are used, it is suited to clients who want better control without choosing a straight perm.
Heat-Reactive Amazing Water 78 System
The Amazing Water 78 System features nano-sized erucalactone, a key ingredient in the Amazing Water series. Once it has penetrated the hair, heat from a dryer or hair iron helps it react with the hair, supporting a smoother surface finish and a glossy, light-reflecting look.

Supporting Ingredients: Bromelain, Papain and Keratin
Bromelain and papain are naturally derived enzymes from pineapple and papaya. They help soften the feel of hair that has become stiff due to damage, heat or ageing.
Keratin (low-molecular hydrolysed keratin) is also included to help guide the hair toward a more manageable feel.
How to Use with Hair Colour
Amazing Relaxer Cross is mixed into the hair colour formula, so it fits into a regular colour service without a separate treatment step.
Standard mix: Use the same amount as the first hair colour agent.
Example: Brown 8Lv (30g) + Oxidiser (30g) + Amazing Relaxer Cross (30g)

- Retouch areas: Use at around 10% of the total colour mixture.
- Blow-dry: To maximise shine and smooth finger-through, blow-dry completely.
- Iron finish (optional): Where suitable for the design, finish with a hair iron at 160–180°C to further support shine, fixation and control of waviness through heat reaction.
The "colour + 0-minute" concept refers to incorporating treatment care into the colour service. Any optional iron finishing may require additional time.
Example Finishes
The following manufacturer-provided examples show how the treatment fits into everyday salon services.
Combined with a Colour Service
Because the treatment is mixed into the colour, the colour and the texture care are carried out at the same time, without adding a separate treatment step.

On Permed Hair
According to CHUOYUKI Co., Ltd., it can also be used as a system treatment for clients with permed hair, helping the hair settle neatly without loosening the waves.

Who Is It Suited To?
Amazing Relaxer Cross can be offered as a colour add-on for a wide range of clients, particularly those who:
- Do not easily feel results from conventional system treatments
- Want to reduce volume without a straight perm
- Want hair that is easier to manage
- Have lost firmness from bleaching or high-tone colour
- Prefer not to spend a long time on treatment menus
Conclusion
By adding Amazing Relaxer Cross to the colour formula, salons can build texture care into a regular colour service, supporting a smoother, more manageable finish without a separate treatment menu or a straight perm.
