This pile towel is woven with combed yarn from extra-long staple Pima cotton, known as the "finest cotton. "
Pima cotton accounts for only about 1% of the cotton produced worldwide, making it one of the world's three major cottons, alongside Giza and Xinjiang.
The name "Pima" comes from Pima County in Arizona, in the southwestern United States, where it is primarily produced.

Pima cotton has a fiber length of approximately 3.5-4.0 cm, approximately 1.5-2 times longer than regular cotton.
The longer the individual fibers, the smoother the surface of the yarn, the more comfortable it feels against the skin, and its excellent absorbency. This is why extra-long staple cotton is favored by world-renowned luxury apparel brands.
Extra-long staple cotton also has the characteristic of being less likely to pill when spun into yarn.

At approximately 130g per towel, it's heavy for a face towel, making it ideal for those who prefer thicker towels. While
high-quality cotton is often made with finer threads to maximize its properties, this towel is intentionally made the same thickness as a regular towel, resulting in a solid, voluminous towel with excellent absorbency and the unique texture of extra-long staple cotton. It's ideal for dry-use applications, such as spot-on wiping and drying during esthetic treatments, or for turbans and hair drying at the salon after shampooing.
