Developed through repeated bleach testing, Protego is a multi-purpose plex treatment designed to help support stronger-feeling hair, better manageability, and a smoother, more hydrated finish—without adding complexity to your salon workflow.

Use it as:

• A bleach/colour additive (plex support during chemical services)

• An acid-heat (thermal) smoothing treatment

• A rinse-out treatment for softness and control

How to Use

Acid-Heat (Thermal) Smoothing Treatment

① Shampoo, then towel-dry.
② Apply an appropriate amount and distribute evenly through the hair.
③ Leave for about 15 minutes (gentle heat can enhance performance).
④ Rinse thoroughly.
⑤ Blow-dry, then finish with a flat iron.

Recommended amount (guide)

• Short: 5–10 g

• Medium: 10–15 g

• Long: 15–20 g

Flat iron temperature (guide)

• Bleached hair: 140°C

• Coloured hair: 150°C

• Virgin hair: 160–180°C

As a Rinse-Out Treatment

① Shampoo, then apply an appropriate amount and distribute evenly.
② Rinse thoroughly.
③ Blow-dry and style as usual.

Recommended amount (guide)

• Short: 6–9 g

• Medium: 9–15 g

• Long: 15–21 g

As a Bleach/Colour Additive (Plex Support)

① Add Protego to the total mixture (Colour/Cream + Developer) using the guide below.
② Proceed with bleach and/or on-colour application as usual.

Recommended ratio (of total mixture)

• Virgin / 1× bleach (low damage): 5–10%

• 2× bleach (medium damage): 10–15%

• 3× bleach (high damage): 15–20%

Pro tip: Always adjust based on porosity and hair history. Strand tests are recommended.
